Whether you're enjoying a session in the home gym, local park or somewhere a little more commercial; make sure you're wearing one of these.
I awoke this morning with the idea of doing suspended band push-ups - this afternoon I decided to try them out.
Setup: I choked two Iron Woody Large bands (about 68kg/150lb) at the top of the rack, and put my hands in the bottom of them. Feet were elevated to bench height (slightly below the starting drop of the bands).
This setup increased the use of stabilisers for both the vertical and horizontal (the bands have a tendency to spread apart) plane. Much harder than I thought it was going to be.
On the blog front, my flatmate has finally been convinced to begin blogging his workouts. You’ll find the latest at All Bar None.

looks like a great workout… I’ll have to get some bigger bands and give them a go.
do you and your flatmate share your rack, by the way?

So how do your pecs feel after that workout? And where do you feel it most?

Apologies for the delay - been feeling a bit less than 100% for the past few days. Should be back into it tomorrow.
John: Yep, it’s a shared rack. Actually, the entire home gym setup is shared. A very small private gym :)
Alberto: the pecs certainly felt tighter, as did the lats. Overall it’s a similar feeling to the day after a plyometric workout. The fear of falling (however slight) is also similar to plyo work.
It’s certainly a lot more difficult than regular push-up work, so I’ll definitely give it another run or three.
