'Fat Man' crosses the line

Fat Man WalkingSteve Vaught - perhaps better known as the ‘Fat Man Walking’ - has crossed the finish line. The outcome? Well, apart from attracting a good amount of media attention, he’s managed to lose nearly 7 stone (45kg) since leaving home last year.

Not bad at all.

Thank god firefox autofills the form fields :).

I had to look up stone because I thought it was 20 lbs., not 14. Here’s an informative reference.

Not sure why the cookie isn’t playing all of a sudden - I’m still hunting that one. Rest assured, it’s frustrating me as much as anyone.

I thought stone was a common reference point in the US - must be a UK thing (I think in kg, and convert from there). Here, things are labelled in a combination of metric and imperial units. It’s odd when people fill their cars with so many litres of fuel, then talk about fuel economy in miles per gallon. There are minor inconsistencies like that everywhere.

Interesting link by the way.
