The latest Minute of Strength newsletter contains an interesting video on increasing hip snap. The primary reason for doing it is to improve lifts such as the kettlebell snatch, but I can’t see it hurting the deadlift.
Looks like it might be time to put the stability ball to work.

I tried these. I don’t think they would increase hip snap. They would improve you swing but not through increased hip snap. They take the hips out of the swing.

Cheers Mike. That saves me inflating the ball (as you can tell, it doesn’t get a whole lot of use).
If you take the hips out of the swing, there isn’t a lot left :)

No there isn’t but I think it’s still a decent exercise to play with. I used my wife’s 8K kettlebell to try it, I’m not sure I could pull it off with a 16 and definitely not with a 24K. I only did about 10 reps per side and it wore out my shoulders pretty decent. It’s mostly rotator cuff from what I felt which some of us could train more. I wouldn’t get in a rush to do high reps though, you could do a lot of damage.
