Climbing is fun.
I used to go indoor climbing 2 times a week last year. Lots of fun. You need strength, endurance, mobility, flexibility. One of the better sports.

I’ve never done it, but the training appeals to me. Plenty of upper back work and hand strength.

Scott,
You should try it one day. Starters - especially when they have a strength training background - tend to climb using their back: pulling themselves up.
This works for one, maybe two routes, but not for three. As always: the legs are stronger than the upper body. If you don’t climb with the legs, you quickly fatigue.
In short: you get the chance to pull yourself up on some occasions, but climbing is done with the legs. That’s why you need good mobility & flexibility in the legs: to get your foot as high as possible.
