1,000,000 metres on the Concept2
share it: digg | stumbleupon | del.icio.us (what are these?)
Aviation Firefighter David Thomson is about to embark on a superb challenge - rowing 1,000,000 metres in 10 days on a Concept2. As anyone who’s put in a bit of time on the C2 will attest, this is a long, long way.
The challenge is designed to raise money for the Adelaide Woman’s and Children’s Hospital Burns Unit; which looks after burns victims and others affected by fire. A very good cause indeed.

Ready to bend some steel? Grab a copy of the Diesel Crew's Bending eBook. Superb.

umm, yeah, a million, in ten days. That’s 100,000 a day. that’s ten times as many as, pretty much, anyone does. That would be something like 6 to 8 hours a day. That is a bad man.

From memory he budgeted for 10 hours per day, so he should be able to squeeze them in (as long as his body holds up, anyway).
