One rung up the coffee appreciation ladder

I’ve been enjoying coffee (some would say a little too often) for several years now, and in that time I’ve gradually moved away from the instant or cheaper take-away varieties toward a smoother option that can be enjoyed at home daily.
This journey moved another step forward yesterday with my purchase of a coffee grinder.
Although I’ve been using a caffetierre for most of my at-home coffee needs, I was stuck buying the pre-ground coffee as there just wasn’t much choice in the world of affordable grinders. All of the ones I saw were either cheap-and-cheerful, or the price of a small car. The middle ground seemed frustratingly empty.
Yesterday, however, I noticed a grinder which definitely sat in this open space. As a well-made burr grinder it wasn’t about to fall apart after a week’s use (I hope), and at $60 it was close enough to the affordability of the cheap-and-cheerful set for a quick purchase to me made.
How is it? I’m just enjoying the first cup now, but I’m already becoming infatuated with the aroma of freshly-ground coffee that’s filling the house. Beautiful.
