I’m a writer, photographer and content creator in general. In fact, 2007 has always been destined as the ‘year of content creation’ in my eyes, and this site comprises a small part of that.
The content itself is based on a number of sources (most notably the ongoing project of self-improvement), including several years’ travelling the globe and a couple of decades fooling around with cameras. There’s also a healthy dose of computer studies (more along the lines of ‘lets pull it apart and see how it works’ than anything formal) and a solid strength training regime.
Currently, in addition to this site, the others that form the core of my regular work are :
Straight to the Bar : a celebration of human attempts to become stronger, faster and generally more powerful (physically) than ever before.
99 Shades of Grey : a look at sustainability and environmental technology in all of its wonderful forms.
Birds in the Tree : a look into Scott’s particularly branch of the Bird family tree.
Cameraderie : an ever-growing collection of cameras dating from the 1930s to the present; with a particular focus on the Japanese half-frames of the 1950s and ’60s.
What is this site all about?
This site tracks my ongoing quest for self-improvement. Though I’m certainly not claiming to be any sort of guru in that field; there are several resources noted on this site which may help you in your own search. Of particular note are the several books and sites listed in the sidebar on each page.
Enjoy the site - Hopefully you will find some useful things here. I certainly have.
