The power of a Personal Mission Statement

Procession of Bhuddist monksLooking across at my bookshelves I can see several volumes relating to personal development; Steven Covey’s ‘7 Habits’ heading the group. It’s a great read.

Unfortunately, all of these have one thing in common - the exercises in each one have been saved for ‘later’. ‘Later’ still hasn’t arrived.

It was only when I came across this piece - How A Personal Mission Statement Can Help You Change - that I decided it was time to complete at least one of the exercises. One from the abovementioned Covey book, as it happens.

The Mission Statement Builder Peter mentions is actually pretty good, for a starting point at least. Now the fun part - refining it.
